I suppose it's time to finally come through on something you really wanted to know about. What nice gifts I got from good friends for my birthday (not that you're a bad friend if you didn't get me one). Well my big gift I recieved a month ago already and that was a Palm Zire 71, which you've all come to hate for destroying any privacy you previously thought you had. Outside of that I recieved many movie gift certificates from many cool people. Alison got me this tshirt from ThinkGeek along with many other things, like a mousepad of her. Many nice people gave me money of which I'm not sure entirely sure what I'm going to spend it on at the moment, but for sure something cool. Kallie, Katie, and Kelly bare mention because they gave me a very cool nose picking card and the Phase 10 card game. Jeff and Meredith gave me some very cool keys to go on my computer, like "panic" and "any". Burrow gave me a potato bank, literally. Many others gave me cards, which I greatly appreciated. Thanks again to all of you who made it a good birthday. Glad I'm 17.
My brother suggested I should link to a list of worthless stock exchanges. I guess it's just been my fancy lately, now that I'm playing on the Hollywood Stock Exchange again.
It appears in light of recent events people have been forced to actually work. Sounds all to much like my computer science class. Have to hate it when Scott Westenberger breaks the Internet.

I'm doing the Blogshares thing now. I could perhaps help myself by linking to places like Wil Wheaton Dot Not and Technorati.

You thought you hated your computer. Not until you check out the Urkrainian Computer Destruction Championship.

Alison got me some of the coolest birthday gifts ever. I'll be sure to update on that later tonight, right now we're off to have a little LAN game of Monoply Tycoon.

Wow, someone remembered my birthday. Actually a lot of people did, those people being the kids at the club. When I got to the club today and went into the computer lab a bunch of them came running in and wished me Happy Birthday.
My birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but I have the day off from work so I can do fun birthday stuff, so they kids wished me happy birthday today.
Either way I'm amazed someone noticed my birthday.

The forums have been relaunched, only they're now to be known as the Yack Back section. I'd encourage you all to meander on over and sign-up (and please post).
I'm also going to let you in on a little insider information. Oh boy! In the coming weeks you'll be seeing the addition of a few people to the BobtheKing Dot Com team. This change will allow me to concentrate on what I enjoy doing the most (and hopefully add a few new things I've been wanting to do), while allowing the new team members to maintain the rest of the pages that you love, but I hate making :).

The word from Wired is that Napster is busting out with a marketing campaign that appears to be a trend setter. Roxio (now owner of Napster) has unleashed an ad campaign which features billboards that look like they're defaced by a Napster street team.

LAN Party today, if you missed it you're not cool.

I'm going to go ahead and rule "Talk Like A Pirate Day" a success. The fun started at 7 A.M. for me when almost everyone in the whole Craig High School Marching Band was talking like a pirate. That fun continued right on throughout my day. At UW-Whitewater today a teacher taught a whole class while talking like a pirate. I had actually forgotten it was "Talk Like A Pirate Day" until I had got to marching band and I was reminding by the Aye, Walk The Plank Mate speek of fellow band members. Thanks to all who participated in making "Talk Like A Pirate Day" such a success.

Recently I've been thinking I know having a car is a luxury but since when is having a spedometer with that car a luxury. I've been driving quite often lately without one as mine often quits working and let me tell you it's not really that fun. It's not the speeding that becomes difficult but more the turns. I'm not going at telling the difference between 20 and 15 miles per hour, so I've launched a lot of stuff right across my van floor. Oh well.

Everyone should be listening to Incubus, go now and listen.
On another note today proved to be most bland, however it went by fast. I never felt myself waiting for the bell to ring in any of my classes, it rang before I could think that. I'm ready to start the shameless posts for the LAN party this weekend.
If you're interested in attending an awesome LAN party in Janesville, WI check it out online at here. Network of Gamers LAN party, September 20th, all the Mountain Dew you can drink.

A special blog post to Kelly who's trapped in Brazil.
Kelly Eric's web address is http://schooff.bobtheking.com, however we haven't done much with it yet. You should check out his Open Diary, he probably has exciting things posted there.
Glad to hear you're surviving down there, sorry I couldn't be more help.

The Napster website is back online with this whole "breaking out of jail" theme. Apparently Napster will be coming back soon with Roxio now owning them. Some details of Napster's rollout by Christmas here.
You really should check out the Animations and Wallpaper section on the new Napster website.

First Post With A Title - Stock Art
I've now added the ability to give titles to my posts, how amazingly useless! I also set the number of posts on the main page to 12 up from 7. Lately I have left the DeviantART scene and migrated over to Stock.Xchng which only allows "approved' images to be posted, allowing for a much higher quality of images. Also they're strictly for stock images, that is images to be given away in the public domain (read: free). The smaller body of users also makes it much more exciting to be a part of it. All in all you should check Stock.Xchng out.

While noting the cool new links on the side that have been yet to be fully developed I would also like to point out that Friday, September 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day. That information curtosy of one Giggles of Doom.
Band Day at the University of Wisconsin - Madison game proved to be interesting. For those of you not from the area or those of you without windows, it rained all day today. Football is an outside thing. I had to be outside at 6:30 A.M. playing my horn, wow it was wet. My poncho kept me pretty dry though.
$3.50 for pizza, $3.00 for Sprite, $2.50 for a pretzel. Lots of money out the door just to eat there at Camp Randall, kind of disappointing.
All in all though the UW-Band put on another great show, like they always do. The part where I actually played my trombone at band day was pretty amusing as it always is. 60 bands or so all trying to play together with one director. The thousand man band with 60 drum sections just never can end together.
In the end it was fun. I was glad to see Mitch was happy to be in the UW band now and that all my friends at UW-M seemed to be having a good time.

UW Band day today, wow it's early. Bus leaves from Craig at 5:30 A.M.
I kicked butt during marching band last night, I know you came and watched me.

The new Barenaked Ladies single "Another Postcard" is just awesome. This upcoming CD appears to return to the fast feel of the "Stunt" album, rather than the slower songs on the "Maroon" album. All this and more at their website.
I just passed 30,000 hits for the main page. I've been keeping track since December of 2002. Yay for another pointless milestone!

Make that the 6,000 email mark for Sobig.
School today was alright, went to Harrison Elementary, proved to be worthwhile for the kids I got to play my trombone for. Hopefully they'll get to high school and be playing an instrument.

Want to see the pictures taken by my Palm Pilot. I know you do, even if you don't. Go here.
Did anyone ever stop to consider how odd it is that there is still 133 people left running for governor of California? Does that not seem slightly more democractic? Is a democracy really the choice between who's face is prettier, Clinton/Dole, Bush/Gore? We all know they each would have done the same thing in the end, the only difference was the face. Perhaps it's time to consider the fact that democracy is the right to choose who and what you want. Now if McDonald's only served two things and they were almost the same, that's not any good, nor is democracy with really only one choice. The beauty of this California recall race is that everyone has repersentation. For instance, if you liked Minnesota in the past few years, vote for Schwarzenegger. If you're like me and want to see something different, like say a computer geek like myself run the state vote for Georgy Russell. If you like watermelons being smashed, vote for Gallagher. If you don't like those options, vote for one of the others.
With this many people running, I hope everyone votes that can. I personally like Georgy Russell, she seems human and realistic. Plus, she's a nerd.

To cap off my wonderful week Craig didn't kick the field goal to tie the game, they went for it on fourth. Thereby losing the ball. It was very smooth of them.
Then again I was just going by what the kicker told me he could kick, a 45 yarder.

Somedays school is fun. Other days school begins with marching band at 7 a.m., you stayed up really late doing your research paper, you forgot your gym clothes and an assignment, and you have to go to work after school.
Thank god it's Friday.

I just passed the 3,000 email mark for emails recieved via the sobig virus. Talk about a pain. I'm glad this variant dies friday, unfortunately another one probably starts.
A couple of my friends started this poker website. You know your poker games are run by nerds when you need a website. It's awesome.
AP Computer Science fun time. My first of probably many posts from this class. It looks to be an exciting year.

School started up again today. I'm a big bad junior at Craig High School. It feels odd, almost as if just yesterday I was a freshman. To liven up people today I decided to yell out names in the hallways and hand out stickers. It appeared to have worked quite nicely.
Once I got free of the bells and questions I headed to work to fix a few things and then was free for the night. Free for the night meaning finishing up my AP U.S. History paper. I WANT SUMMER BACK.

As school starts today I think you should head down to the bottom of the page and check out the blogsnob link. I know you want to. I would like to safely say that I've already checked out a few and they've been worth my time.

Chris Burrow and I just finished our little mini-LAN party. It included a whopping two games. After each of us resepectably ate five tacos from Taco Bell we took on my brother Garrick and his friend Josh in a classic battle of Age of Empires 2. We proved to be the dominant pair as we were able to crush Garrick and Josh without a worry. After the slaughter we decided to play some Madden 2004. The score of the only game we played against each other (we had to check out the franchise mode) was 36-7, Burrow's Falcons over Jannene's Packers. Don't you think I'm good? It made for an awesome game though, even though he would often score on a defense lapse that would lead to a 65-yard-touchdown-pass-Michael-Vick-to-any-no-talent-wide-reciever.
Did I mention we had Taco Bell?
