Scott Adams strays from his typical path with Dilbert and decides to take on music piracy. This situation obviously would never happen but it's interesting to consider. Of course logically it's impossible as someone would have had to buy it for it to go up on the p2p programs. Programs/services like iTunes seek to cure this problem, but my question is if all sales were done via a service like that how much would the record company make and how much would the artist (both against current earnings). Personally if music were to cost less because the record industry was taking less I would be more inclined to buy more music. 99 cents a song of which the artist is receiving a rumored 15 cents seems like robbery to me. On with the cartoon!
