In the spirit of spicing things up, I have decided to spark some debate.
Todays topic: separation of church and state.
It is my opinion that there should be no interaction between religion and politics.

I also believe that seperation of church and state are needed. But I also believe that as their will always be that interaction because a politician (or regular person for that matter) will always use his religion (or lack their of) to make a decision. A religion dominates a person's morals it seems like, and that will affect how they make a decision. Even if we didn't have the Ten Commandments or "One nation, under God", religion would still affect state because the politicians that make up state use religion to form morals and opinions.

If we claim religous freedom in this country, there should be seperation of church and state. In a way, what's going now with favouring Christianity is kind of like back in the day when we claimed freedom for all men, but then only gave the full freedom to the white man, leaving the minorites behind.
