Bucks Season

The Milwaukee Bucks are entering a new season of NBA basketball. It's just moments away from the tip off of the Bucks season. They open against the Orlando Magic.

I would like to make a few predictions. First the Milwaukee Bucks will continue to be an average team hovering around .500 and making the playoffs. They will be eliminated in the first round again until they can find a reliable big man. Joe Smith however will blossom and become better in the middle, however a lack of support in the post will slow his offensive production as teams figure him out. Dan Gadzuric needs to step it up at center and start to develop otherwise he will forever be banished to the bench. I look for more of the same All-Star production from guard Michael Redd. Desmond Mason will develop as a player, but still have numerous weak spots in his game. T.J. Ford will return in early 2005 and have an immediate impact on the team, which will propel them to a strong finish. However, like previously mentioned they'll be eliminated early in the playoffs by a team like the Pistons, Pacers, or Heat.

The rest of the NBA will witness the decline of Shaq, but still we will marvel in his dominance as a tower of power. Jason Kidd will be traded to a team in the Western Conference. Maybe to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Latrell Spreewell and Sam Cassell. The Mavericks will struggle, but Devin Harris will emerge as a great player along with Jason Terry. It'll be proven that Dirk Nowitzki can't play big in the post, however he will remain dominate from the outside. The championship will go to the defending champion Detroit Pistons.
