Election
I make this post from an unexpected position. I thought for sure the American people would elect John Kerry, the people of Wisconsin did. It's okay though, Bush was elected and the people that elected Bush will get what they deserve. I'm not quite sure what that is yet, but I'm sure it will be interesting. I did my part to get rid of him.
In working at the polls yesterday after I voted I learned a few things. First, there were a lot of people that it was their first time voting, that's expected. Second, a lot of those people don't know how to vote, even after receieving the connect the dots directions. That scares me. I had one guy ask if he could vote twice for Bush by writing him in one and selecting him normally. I had to restrain from laughing when I told him no. Interesting it was.
Overall I think we need more third parties. And those third parties need to be bigger. On that line we also need to get rid of the elctoral college, it's the worst possible democractic system we have to elect a President. I'll have more on this when Wired magazine publishes their article about it online.
