It's Saturday now, which means Sean will be getting his birthday present lucky him. Also I'm going to have a picture I took published in England now=. I've now hit up three continents as I have a photo published in a fashion magazine in Chicago and a brochure in Taiwan.

It's friday! Yay! Everybody dance! Yay!

Tonight at a meeting one of my co-workers remarked that I turn computers into people when I talk about them. I thought about that for a second and realized that that was completely true. I continued to think if there was any way to avoid making them into people when trying to explain how they interact to people that aren't as tech savy. I realized that I couldn't think of an easier way. My conclusion tonight is that computers are people.

Everyone say hi to the new logo, thanks to Steven Jacowski. I like it, and so it's here to stay.

If you want to be as productive as possible on your computer you should check out Lockergnome. They have a couple of real good mailing lists that I've been very impressed with and if you're at all a computer power-user I recommend you sign-up for them.

All systems fail, Slime Volleyball has invaded BobtheKing Dot Com. It was time to bring Slime Volleyball to the masses here at BtK, and we figured tonight would be the best night to do it. Enjoy.
For those of you that have noticed there is a few extra buttons on the right side of this text. Eventually everything will be buttons, I'm just waiting to come back online as it's been pulled off for the rest of the month due to bandwidth restrictions.

For those of you that are Kings of Chaos players you know how frustrating it is to build up a sum of money and then not be able to log in and spend that money. That has been happening a lot to me lately.

What do you think of the buttons? Let me know in the forums.

On the up and coming note, Slime Volleyball will be on this site in the near future, it's going to be awesome. Well awesome for everything but my bandwidth.

I've begun a list of the all the colleges I've received unwanted mail from. Although it may seem small now, give it a week.

Saturday, January 24, 2004

Expect some layout changes in the very near future. Hopefully my plan will work and I'll be able to add some "prettyness" to the site.

AIM finally appeared to come back to a normal operating level last night, odd it was indeed. Lots of mindless things are up for the talking about. How about the President race? Who's going to come out a winner on the democractic side? No one appears to know quite yet. I've finally started posting on a regular basis over at BSWatch. The rest of the pages obviously aren't quite done yet, but you should still check it out. I've switched a few classes at school so I now have a computer class twice a day, a nice change.

I've decided I'm going to concentrate this site purely on technology things now, however I'll make an exception for anything I feel necessary (which will be a lot of the same). What you can expect to see is a lot of the same, a big change for the viewing audience I suppose.

Aside from that nothign really interesting has been happening lately. Lots of continued eating of Taco Bell helps to make me feel warm and fuzzy in the later afternoon. The frozen pizza always helps out at night. They have Play-Doh toys at McDonalds, which makes for much excitment in the afternoon classes at school.

If anyone is interested in buying Bawls I have it available for two dollars a bottle. Email me or leave a message in the forum.

I take that back, it's still up and down, up and down. Very odd.
Within a half hour the network was back online, amazing!
The AOL Instant Messenger network appears to be having a serious problem for the first time in as long as I can remember. I can't get any profiles to work and I'm getting very few people to show up, although I've received phone calls that they are online. Weird that my world becomes a lot smaller when AIM fails to see everyone that is online. Thank god for Trillian and multiple-network support.

Who wants to do my homework? Great I thought you would. This semester hasn't been much fun so far. Maybe I'm just forgetting the last one.
I suppose that NationStates link wasn't working too well for you. Here's a better one.

Tuesday, January 20, 2004

I found this on Slashdot in someone's comment and found it worthy of sharing. "Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool."
Come play NationStates with me. It's a game of world politics, and well yeah, running your own country filled with politics.

LAN party was awesome, shame on you for missing it. But hey, I feel like a friend has died. Goatse has been suspended by a bunch of angry Australians. Warning, if you go searching for goatse and find it, don't look at it, it's not for the weak.

Friday, January 16, 2004

LAN party tomorrow. Last chance to sign-up today. We're expecting a big crowd so you'll be missing out if you don't at least show up to say hi.

What's worse than a piece of junk mail from a college? How about five per day? I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE how they contine to send me all this CRAP. I can see where all the tuition money is going.
Yes! I win. I successfully parked my tank in the enemy hanger in Desert Combat was able to kill 24 people in about five minutes. I easily took first place that game. The second game didn't go quite as well, so I lined my whole base with mines and made everyone fly to heaven when they spawned. I quickly ditched the server, cleverly.

Tuesday, January 13, 2004

I put on my headphones and go into my own little world, complete with only me and the Foo Fighters. After entering that world I realize I have exams tomorrow and should be expecting a fast departure from my enjoyable jam session.

Today was yet another day in my life at Craig High School. The highlight of today could be chosen from many numerous stupidities, however the winner may be a moment I had at my locker. When I left gym class today to put my stuff in my locker, I attempted to use my keys to open my locker. After about maybe 10-15 seconds I realized that the keys I have don't work and that I should probably use my combination to open the lock. Wow works like a charm every time.

In a close second is how two kids in my gym class have earned in-school suspension for three weeks for an ankling incident in which one of their units was exposed to the world. Interesting to say the least.

Following up in third is all the other events that I was going to try and remember but managed not to be able to. Go myself, yet again.

There is a Network of Gamers LAN party coming up this weekend (on the 17th). I hope you all plan on attending if you're interested in computer games and live in the Janesville area. More details are available on the site.

Tonight proved to be a good night to test out new toys, or invent some uses for the old ones. I used my new 64 USB thumb drive for the first time, it proved to be very handy when you need to transfer network drivers. Secondly, I went wardriving for the first time tonight. Learned a few things and found a few networks, however I should be able to find a lot more soon after I read up on a frew strategies over at TheBroken.

Well after the old comment system blasted off on a rocket ship and randomly died (for a currently unknown reason), it has been determined to be time for the migration to using the forum for commenting on posts. Go ahead and sign yourself up and then comment about how much you hate it, for a good month or two. After all of that, get used to it. Did I mention that there was a hockey game tonight? Oh yes, CYO superfan Eric Schmoldt brings us the recap. It was a great game to watch, even though we didn't quite manage to get the five goals = free Culver's ice cream award. Go ahead, create a topic, and yack away.

Heaven comes to earth, or something vaguely similar. On top of getting some pretty nice grades in my English class today, a wifi-enabled DVD player will be able sometime in the coming months, and I hope to have my hands on one. What could be better than all those files on my computer being streamed over the air to the TV? Well a lot of things, but in the middle of January I'll take it. To add to the beauty of the day there is going to be an HP iPod, as they have entered a license agreement with Apple. Hockey game tomorrow, wahoo.

I'll leave you all with this brilliance.

Cold weather isn't any fun at all. Nor are the aches I get from it. Go away snow!

The Google IPO will be a flop, you heard it here first. Then again if I'm wrong I guess I'm wrong. Amazing. But yeah, I just don't know about them doing well. We'll see. I love Google and all, but I somehow can't see them succeeding on the floors of the exchanges.
What's better than a horse? How about two horses? Now let's try three.

Saturday, January 03, 2004

I'm hitting up Epicenter right now and it's been a good time. Lots of caffeine and pizza. If you're interested in the whole LAN party thing be sure to check out Network of Gamers, our next event is on the 17th.

Sad news, the bike trail project won't be up tonight. There is a chance it could be up on Sunday now. You have to hate it when family members move into your house for two weeks and are told they will be sleeping right next to the computer you want to work at. Oh well.
Welcome to the new year. I've returned to blogging after I took the rest of the year off on December 31st. For those of you that have been around for a while I'm going to work on completing the bike trail project tonight and I having it online at some rather late hour. For those of you that don't remember the bike trail project, well you'll have to just wait and see. Either way the new year should bring many exciting things for BtK and probably many things that aren't exciting.
