Google is Wal-Mart (Sort Of)
From Wired comes a story entitled "Why Google is Like Wal-Mart". Google scares me right now in a lot of ways. Their absolute dominance of all kinds of new technology markets makes me nervous about who really controls my data? Me or Google with Picasa, Gmail, Google Maps, Froogle, Google Ads, Google News, and most of all their search engine. It's scary to think what they could do with that much information, I'm not sure I'm buying the "Don't Be Evil" thing anymore.

I wondered if anyone would point that out. I'm not trying to criticizing, I'm stating that I'm concerned about the future. If people like me don't talk about it, Google won't know.
