Flock and Tagging

I'm now testing Flock, the Firefox code with blog editing added in. I'm sure there are all kinds of other features, but I haven't had time to find them yet. This is pretty slick so far, much easier to tag stuff than even with my template in W.bloggar.

Dulin, watch out, they have built-in Technorati tagging. Dulin, by the way, is working on a .NET implementation of a blogging app that would have built-in tagging and be able to use the Blogger API.

Update: It appears raw HTML doesn't work, at least with the default options. That's not cool.

Definately not cool. But my idea is more for mobile blogging, with pda so I guess it might be ok. Until they port Firefox to mobile devices. Oh the humanity.

Actually, the blog editing window has a window-splitter that starts out stuck at the very bottom fo the content window. Grab its handle and drag it up and the top half will be WYSIWYG and the bottom half will be html.

The biggest problem (for me) is that it totally hashes the HTML - removes all the whitespace and makes it a jumble. Typically it renders properly but it's hard to read the html when you want to edit.

And the tags look funny. That html does look hard to use. I'm glad mine will do better.
