College Republicans Meeting

My good friend Dr. Scheibler was speaking at the MSOE College Republicans meeting on the topic of "The Politics of Disaster Relief", something he is, without a doubt, an expert on. It is a shame the Liberal Students Organization doesn't have their act together enough to have him come speak (or perhaps a joint meeting?). Anywho, the Republicans are on to me. From the moment I walked into the room I was greeted with "What are you doing here?" and "I see they let anyone in now." Dr. Scheibler posed a question to the audience asking (as I recall) "Who is best qualified to run a government agency?" I, of course, answered with Jon Stewart, which gathered some laughes, which then resulted in me having to dodge bullets, throwing knives, and dirty glances. I will sleep well knowing that the Republicans of MSOE (or at least those that could be bribed enough to show up) are now well-educated in the ways of disaster relief.

I have greatly enjoyed the Republican marketing tactics they have been using on me (when I say they, I mean a select few of their members). No matter how many times you guys tell me I'm not liberal (or very liberal), you will not get me to convert to the dark side.
