I'm not sure I see the connection -- aren't these mostly independent concepts?
I lean left yet believe strongly in the power of markets. But, like most rational thinkers, I believe relatively little is best in purified form -- "market forces" by themselves can't solve all the world's social ills, nor can social forces alone ensure effective economic systems.
