Routers and the University of Wisconsin

I was reading about a current incident involving D-link routers when I stumbled upon a story of flawed Netgear routers flooding the University of Wisconsin network with requests for one of the campus' public Network Time Protocol servers. Amazing how things like this happen and how much bandwidth they suck up. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't happened more often.
