Turnbow Choking

Brewers closer Derrick Turnbow blew his fourth straight save last night. Turnbow, who has gained rockstar status in Milwaukee over the past year and even earned a trip to the All-Star game this year, needs to turn things around or he may be out of a job. It's scary to think that the starting pitching could be on the verge of coming together for the Brewers with the return of Ben Sheets and Tomo Ohka, and now the Crew won't have a reliable closer.

Turn it around Derrick.

The Oracle of Cheese has some additional thoughts on the subject.

Ironically, Turnbow was the last player caught using steroids (when he was with the Anaheim Angels) before they were deemed "bad for baseball". Perhaps his decline is more or less a result of decreasing arm strength due to the fact that he must compete using legal supplements.
