Free Wifi Courtesy of Amtrak
I'm sitting in the Chicago Union Station food court on my way from Milwaukee to Minneapolis (I'm cheap, I take Megabus). When I first sat down I wasn't able to get online via any form of free wifi, but the tide has turned. Amtrak has an access point setup that didn't want to give me an IP address at first, but after leaving my laptop on for 20 minutes it apparently caved in.
Wahoo, free wifi at Union Station.
For those that may experience this problem in the future, the IP address it gives you is your standard 192.168.1.X and your gateway is 192.168.1.254. That should prevent you from having to wait for an IP address.
Happy surfing.
